My choice today is to do a little something. I feel so helpless watching all the sad news from Oklahoma. It brings back memories of a few years ago when my daughter was in college at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. She called the day before her 21st birthday to tell me a tornado was heading for her house and it looked about as wide as the football stadium. Well, needless to say I was one worried mother being 400 miles away! Fortunately she survived with no damage but I drove down a few days later to move her home for the summer and I saw all the unbelievable sites there. It is still hard to put into words how unreal it is to see entire blocks leveled. My prayers go out to all those suffering in Oklahoma and it's only a little something I can do, but I feel like a lot of little things could turn into a BIG thing!!!

It finally feels like Spring and I guess I'm in a flower mood. Recently I had a reception featuring my paintings and these were the flowers at the event. I didn't have time to paint them after the reception but loved the colors, so I took a picture to paint later. My choice today was to play with the photo. I had fun painting the window sill and reflections but think the background windows may be too dark. What do you think? Should I go back and lighten the windows up some?? Not sure but feels like it needs something. Would love some feedback!!

A friend gave me this photograph because we share a love of camellia's. Actually they were a favorite of my mother's.  My Grandmother had beautiful camellia bushes in her yard in Alabama. When my Grandmother passed away my Mom tried to transfer some of them to our house. I was thinking of my mom this past weekend, so this one is in memory of you Mom, miss you and thanks for showing me how to be a great mom and thanks to MC for allowing me to travel down the path of motherhood. My choice today is to thank ALL the mom's out there for all the sacrifices you make for your children.  Thanks, H for the picture, hope you like it!!

My choice a few weeks back was to paint this for my daughter's birthday. She posted this picture on Facebook and I knew I HAD to paint it for her. She loves her dog, Bear and the yellow blanket was given to her by her aunt when she was born, 24 years ago!! She loves that blanket and still carries it everywhere she goes, well not to work, that would be a little awkward!!!! But is near to her heart and it has so many stories it could tell. I just love all the memories I can think back on just looking at that yellow blanket. Hope your choice today is to think of treasured memories of your loved ones!!! Happy Birthday, MC, Love you!!!!

Moving Day Revealed!!!! By Josephine Hardison

WHEW!!!!!

What a day! Ok, taking down 30+ paintings from one location and moving them to another is hard work! I bet I did at least an hour on the stair master going up and down the ladder. And it is a good thing I got some extra exercise. I'll be needing it this month!!!!!
And yes we are OPEN.

We are waiting for someone to come visit us.
We are lonely and need company.
We are on this long wall all by our little selves.

If you have to be hanging out with someone it might as well be with all the cool people visiting at:

GRAETER'S !!!!!
2204 Bardstown Rd

Mon-Thur 11am - 10pm
Fri & Sat 11am - 11pm
Sun 12pm - 10pm

Hope you will stop by for some ice cream and visit my paintings!
Hope you find one or two you might want to take home with you!!
Call me and I will meet you there!
I may need to visit them daily or maybe that's not a good idea.
I'll have to limit my visits so I won't gain an extra few pounds!!!!
Ohhhhhhhh, this could be painful but FUN!!!!!
STOP BY!!!!

Moving Day By Josephine Hardison

Today is moving day!!!

My paintings have been happily hanging out at the Gariepy Group for ALL of March and April. Today I am blessed to have found a new home for them for ALL of May!! I will be hauling the ladder, hammer, nails, tape, staples and half the tool box and heading out to move some paintings today!!!!  Stay Tuned and tomorrow I will have some photo's of their new home. Oh, the adjustment, I hope they fit in well and aren't to traumatized by the move. I may have to spend extra time with them and make sure they are ok. You also may want to visit often if you are in the Louisville, KY area. Well, tomorrow you may understand better. It is a place we could all ENJOY visiting OFTEN!!!!!
