| Started several but still working on finishing touches. Thought I would go ahead and post some of the beginning stages of a few I have started on this snowy day and hope to finish soon. This a bit different for me. I am not much of an abstract painter but decided to just have fun and play around a little. I painted the canvas a bright yellow and orange background and let a little peek through. Sometime it is just fun to not really focus on getting it perfect but enjoying the process along the way. True of LIFE as well!!! Hope you enjoy my experiment, I like how it turned out, different for me but fun!! Make a choice today to try something different just for the fun of it!! Enjoy!

Another beach shot I took this past Fall in Florida. I loved the light drawing you down to the beach. As a child I can still remember wanting to run see if the ocean was still there every time we arrived. I could paint these beach scenes forever!!! Make a choice today to dream of the beach tonight!! | In progress photo of how I start a painting with a very loose rough sketch using the darks and lights to decide where I want my colors to go and what value to use. This also gives you a great way to see if you like the composition before you have invested to much into the piece. At this point I can go in and change whatever I want because it will all be covered when I add my color. |

OK, with 5" of snow outside on the ground there is nothing better to do than paint beach photos!!!! I know it has been awhile since my last post but still painting and staying busy!! Trying to catch up and post a few I have finished and may post some that are still in progress.
I still have so many wonderful photos from a Fall trip to Seaside, FL. I love revisiting them during this time of year back in Louisville. Awwwww, just wish I were sitting on the beach now! Make a choice to enjoy your day no matter where you are!!

Snug as a "bug in a rug", or should I say "pups in a bed"?? Just doesn't have the same ring to it but they are adorable and have been such a comfort to someone special. I just can't say who!!?? It is so hard this time of year to be careful not ruin anyone's Christmas surprise. Hope this brings a smile to someone's face on Christmas morning!! Merry Christmas!! What a joy to a small part in so many Christmas morning surprises!!! Love that about painting!!
