I'm painting fish, shrimp, seagulls, boats and even lobsters. Lobsters may not be abundant in Alabama but what fun to have this hanging in your beach home! I can see it in someone's kitchen just waiting for a big pot to fill with lobsters for dinner! Hope I'm invited for dinner, love fresh lobster dipped in a little lemon butter, mmmmm!!! I can feel the butter dripping down my chin, but don't tell anyone, shhh! |

Happy Tulips by Josephine Hardison
![]() |
| 30" x 30" Oil on Canvas $500.00 Click here to view or purchase on my website Well it is cold and snowy in Kentucky, -15 degrees outside so I paint what I love! And this time it is not a beach, shocking I know but tulips are right up there with beaches!! They don't last long but are fascinating to watch bloom. I love when they first open and all the dark inside is peeking through the flower petals. Can't wait for those Spring bulbs to push up through the ground. Should be soon I HOPE!! |

Green Pail By Josephine Hardison
24" x 24"
Oil on Canvas
Saw this cute photo on a friends Facebook page and asked if I could use it as a photo reference for a painting. It was of her granddaughter and I loved the green pail and was so much fun to paint. It is vacation time and many families will be heading to the beach. If you have a photo I could paint just email me at jyhardison@att.net. I never get tired of beach paintings. Every time I paint one it feels like my toes are in the sand.
Also don't forget to stop by Gallery 104 on Main St in LaGrange, KY if you are going to Arts on the Green this weekend!! I am honored to be the Artist of the Month for June and have lots of new things there!

Another beach shot I took this past Fall in Florida. I loved the light drawing you down to the beach. As a child I can still remember wanting to run see if the ocean was still there every time we arrived. I could paint these beach scenes forever!!! Make a choice today to dream of the beach tonight!! HaHa!!

Beaches along Highway 30A are just "THE BEST." I love the area and love all the blue umbrellas dotting the white sandy stretches of beach. So much fun to watch large groups of families just hanging out under the "Brellas."

Fall is here and I am getting one last blast from a neighbor's sunflowers. I love walking by their house just to see the sunflowers drooping on their long stalks. Love the colors of yellow and red together. Make a choice to walk in your neighborhood and check out what is waiting for you!! Enjoy your stroll.
