My niece is getting married in April!! This is a picture of what she wants her bouquet to look like. I thought it was so pretty that my choice today was to try to recreate it in a painting. I usually paint with much brighter and more vivid colors. This was a great way to try working with softer colors. I am very happy with how it turned out and can't wait for the wedding to see the real flowers and how they compare!

Sunset By Josephine Hardison
12" x 12" Oil on Panel $300.00 Click here to view or purchase
Anytime I am visiting the beach I always choose to walk to the beach just before sunset. There is something about watching the sun dip into the ocean that is always peaceful. I took this picture many years ago and love the way the sun is dipping into the horizon and peeking through the tree. It is such a great way to end the day. I hope your day ends with something peaceful today.

Shimmering Waters By Josephine Hardison
24" x 18" Oil on Linen Canvas $450.00 Click here to view or purchase this painting
I decided to experiment with colors. I had such fun painting this sky. It reminds me of being at the beach in the summer just before a thunderstorm is rolling in. The sun is crisp and clear but you can feel the sky changing almost before it happens. It may be the smell in the air or the way the wind blows, but you know it's coming. I hope you choose to take the time to look up at the sky today and maybe you can see the sun shining bright! Well, it's wishful thinking anyway! Here's to sunny skies!!

Lobster Feast by Josephine Hardison
12" x 12" Oil on Panel $300.00 Click here to view or purchase this painting
How much fun I had painting with these bright vivid colors! Nothing better than a simple feast of lobster and corn on the cob for a great summer supper! My sister in law lives in Rhode Island and every time we go to visit we have such fun eating lobster. We would go pick out our favorite from the fisherman's catch for the day and cook them that night for dinner ~ now that's FRESH!! What fun memories of visiting with family!! Choose to spend some time having a great dinner with your family tonight, even if it's not lobster!

Hay Bales by Josephine Hardison
30" x 30" Oil on Canvas Framed with rustic wood frame $600.00 Click here to view or purchase this painting
A few weeks ago I painted this picture of my dad's farm in a smaller size. I really loved how it turned out so I decided to try a larger version from the same picture. I had some old siding that I sanded and made a frame. I love the old rustic look of the frame with the farm scene. I could see this in a cabin in the woods somewhere. Anyone have a cabin that needs a wonderful rustic painting hanging above your fireplace??!! It could be yours!!
